OPEN THIS DOOR

This was originally a lip sync assignment for my Digital Compositing class at SVA. The best part about it is that I didn't have to traditionally animate it, but I went and did it anyway. Traditional will always stay true in my heart.

Totoro Fanart

This is actually based on a real piece of concept art for the film, I just thought it was simply adorable, and had an urge to do my own rendition! My Neighbor Totoro is the exact kind of film I'd want to do if it were targeted to younger children, it has a simple story, memorable characters, lovely score, and no educational nonsense being shoved down your throat. It was perfect. Miyazaki is truly a master of his medium.

Signed Karl Sanders Drawing!

2 years ago, when I was just a freshman at SVA, Karl Sanders from the death metal band Nile held a listening party in Lower Manhatten for his latest solo album 'Saurian Exorcisms,' and I had the outmost pleasure of getting to meet and hang with Karl. He was the sweetest, nicest dude ever, and his new album was VERY good. So after the party I had to draw him, he's such a character! A year later Nile would return for a headlining tour with Immolation, and I caught Karl at the end of the show at the Blender. I showed him the drawing and he loved it! He was also nice enough to sign it for me in silver Sharpie. Im truly blessed.
